This post is also available in: Dutch

Chai Tea Latte, written differently, sounds the same in almost all countries in and around Asia but also knows a lot of variations. This vegan chai is made with almond milk and ginger. Originally, medicinal qualities were attributed to chai in Hinduism. Within this form of medicine, based on energy flows, among other things chai is used to get the bad (Vikriti) back to the good (Prakriti) with a gentle hand. In other words, to restore the ideal balance of energy of your birth through nutrition. The Hindus assume that all illness is caused by disruption of the mind. The spirit must, therefore, recover again in order to combat the disease. Or better even by using the good herbs with chai try to avoid disruption. Making this healthy vegan chai with almond milk is wonderfully simple and does not yield stress.

For this delicious vegan milk you need:
600 ml of almond milk
1 cm of ginger grated
4 cloves
3 black pepper grains
3 star anise
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cardamounts
2 bags of black tea or in a sieve
3 scoops of stevia or maple syrup

Put the cloves, black peppercorns, star anise, and cardamon pods in a mortar and crush until you have rough bits. Then add the cinnamon sticks and stamp them in a few pieces.
Pour the almond milk in a pan and add the spice mixture and the grated ginger. Bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and hang the two tea bags in the pan and let it take 5 minutes.
Pour the whole through a sieve into a jug. Add the stevia or maple syrup to taste. For a creamy effect with some foam on top, put the bar mixer in the tea.
Pour the tea into 2 glasses and the tea is ready to be drunk immediately.
