Lawyer’s pear is actually the real name of the avocado in Dutch. A bomb of health and energy. Avocado is full of unsaturated fats and therefore has a high calorific value, but at the same time, it protects against bad cholesterol. The avocado can be used in all sorts of recipes from appetizers to desserts, from breakfast to supper. You can also use it as a drink. The advantage is that you can make more of it and what remains can be frozen for another time.
The avocado was in the Golden Age already a drink on the Antilles with alcohol and was taken to our country by our illustrious seafarers. Because avocados did not grow here, the variant was created with egg yolk. You can also grow an avocado tree yourself from a pit. Some species can tolerate up to -8˚C. Today a delicious cold smoothie of avocado, tasty as breakfast and of course also healthy.
What do you need:
1 cup of almond milk
1 ripe sweet apple, peeled and cut into pieces
1 ripe avocado, only the flesh
1 celery stalk in pieces
Spinach handful (about 50 grams)
2 centimetres cut into small pieces of ginger without skin
1 half cup of ice cubes
1 tablespoon of honey
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until you get an even whole. If you still find the smoothie too thick, add some ice cubes and blend for a while. This way you have an incredibly healthy and tasty smoothie in no time. Tip: Also a very nice drink to taste is the Mango Lassi
